These notes were prepared by members of the LMS Society for presentation, in the first instance, at a Teach In organised by the Society at Dillington House, Ilminster, from 26th to 28th March, 1976.

A reproduction of a 1939 booklet which reprinted the "Train signalling" articles which appeared in the L.M.S. Magazine during 1937 and 1938, revised to include the amendments to the regulations concerned up to the date of publication.

A reproduction of a somewhat mis-titled guide to the tourist attractions of Great Britain and Ireland. Labeled as 'Overseas Edition - 1933' this 78 page publication was probably primarily aimed at the American market and was designed to be folded in half, no doubt to make it easier to carry in a overcoat pocket. The original was kindly donated to the Society by Rebecca Middleton of Ajax, Ontario, Canada whose late friend's grandparents travelled to Northern England and Scotland in 1933. They hailed from Indianapolis, Indiana in the USA.
